Menu Launch Batch Generator

Menu Launch lets you generate professional food photos for your entire menu in a single batch. Enter your dish names, choose your styling, and Fudie produces a visually consistent set of images — all sharing the same lighting, surface, and environment.

How It Works

  1. Select Menu Launch from the use case selector on the Create page.
  2. Enter your menu items (Simple or Advanced mode).
  3. Configure your styling using the Prompt Builder (lighting, background, style, angle).
  4. Click Generate — Fudie first creates a shared background scene, then generates each dish photo on top of it.

Menu Launch always uses generate mode (no image uploads). The AI creates every photo from scratch based on your styling choices and dish descriptions.

Simple Mode

Simple mode is the fastest way to get started. Enter one dish name per line in the text area:

Grilled Salmon
Caesar Salad
Margherita Pizza
Tiramisu

Each line becomes one generated photo. The AI uses the dish name along with your style selections to produce the image.

Advanced Mode

Toggle to Advanced for richer, more accurate results. For each dish you can provide:

FieldPurposeExample
Dish NameThe name of the menu itemGrilled Salmon
IngredientsKey ingredients (comma-separated)Atlantic salmon, lemon butter, asparagus, dill
DescriptionShort dish descriptionPan-seared salmon fillet with citrus butter glaze
Plating NotesPresentation detailsServed on a white plate with asparagus fanned to the side

All four fields feed into the AI prompt, giving the model much more context about what the dish looks like, what's on the plate, and how it should be arranged.

Use the Add Item button to add more dishes, and the remove button on each card to delete one.

When to Use Advanced Mode

  • Your dishes have distinctive plating that matters (fine dining, tasting menus)
  • You want ingredients visible and accurate in the photo
  • You need consistent, specific presentations across the menu
  • Simple dish names alone don't convey enough (e.g., "Chef's Special" needs more context)

Automatic Background Consistency

Every Menu Launch batch automatically generates a shared background scene before creating individual dish photos. This background is an empty table or surface that matches your style selections — same lighting, same surface texture, same environment.

Each dish photo is then generated using this background as a reference, ensuring:

  • Consistent surfaces — Every dish sits on the same table or backdrop
  • Matching lighting — Shadows, highlights, and color temperature stay uniform
  • Unified atmosphere — The entire menu feels like it was shot in one session

This preprocessing step runs automatically during the "Preparing" stage and does not consume any additional credits.

Tips for Best Results

  1. Start with Advanced mode for menus where plating matters — the extra detail significantly improves accuracy.
  2. Be specific in plating notes — mention plate color, garnish placement, and arrangement style.
  3. Use style selections wisely — the background scene is built from your lighting, background, style, and angle choices, so pick these first.
  4. Keep dish names clear — even in Advanced mode, the dish name is the primary identifier.
  5. Generate in batches of similar cuisine — a Japanese menu and an Italian menu will look better as separate batches with different styling.

Credit Cost

Each dish in the batch costs 1 credit (same as a single photo generation). The shared background scene is generated automatically at no extra cost.

For example, a 10-item menu batch costs 10 credits total.

Plan Availability

Menu Launch batch generation is available on all subscription plans (Appetizer, Main Course, and The Banquet). The number of items you can generate in a single batch depends on your plan's concurrent job limit.
